My First Helvetia Watch
I have had an interest in Helvetia watches ever since I bought my first vintage watch, which by pure accident happened to be a Helvetia, about 20 years ago.
I started to investigate the brand and, though there was not much available, the more I read the more interesting it became.
From their birth alongside Omega, as a manufacturer of military, pilots and sports watches in the 30s and 40s through to their, quite distinctive, post war dress watches. All the time developing and manufacturing their own in-house movements, often at the cutting edge of research and development.
